Why do churches need storage?

• Sharing slides, graphics and video media …between volunteers, or to sync to the slides PC for use on Sunday.
• Sermon recording archival - I get AV volunteers to archive the sermon recording MP3's onto the after each Sunday, after having uploaded it online.

Stop using USB Flash Drives to load powerpoint slides and videos on Sunday mornings - how many times has the file 'not copied correctly' onto the USB! :( :(

• Google Drive 'Shared Drive' gives you practically unlimited cloud storage.
• OneDrive gives you 1TB per user.

WARNING: DO NOT PUBLICLY EXPOSE YOUR NAS TO THE PUBLIC INTERNET

Don't trust your NAS's online feature… I unfortunately oversaw a zero-day exploit (qlocker) on a well known parachurch movement's NAS and we lost several GB's of photos :( It's a fallen world.

With that disclaimer said, we use OpenMediaVault running on a Dell PowerEdge found thrown out from a North Sydney office (true story)
